CT Open Decks is a monthly, house music-focused open decks and networking event. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for new and up-and-coming house DJs to play out live, and to help grow and connect the house music scene in CT!
How Sign-ups work
In-person sign-ups for the following month will be available at each event before they open online.
If those slots are not filled, we will open online sign-ups for the remaining slots.
Your best chance of getting a slot is to attend the next event and sign up in person (get there early)!

Show up and play!
dj, dancer? come network!
CT Open Decks was created with the goal of growing the CT house music scene by providing more opportunities for DJs to play, as well for fans of house music to come dance and find their new favorite sound! So whether you’re a DJ, a dancer, or just love the vibes, we encourage you to come through and meet your people!
CONSIDERATIONS:
important! read this before signing up!
This is a house-music-focused event. While we love all kinds of dance music, the goal of this event is to help grow the house scene in CT and help house DJs, fans, and promoters meet and network with each other. We understand that genres aren’t an exact science, they bend and blend — we aren’t going to micromanage your set, but generally, please make sure you are playing house music if you sign up. This is not a bass music, dubstep, techno, or open format event.
A Pioneer Opus Quad and an XDJ will be available at the event. To use the Opus Quad, you MUST bring a Rekordbox USB using the Device Library Plus format. If you are unsure if your USB is using the correct library format, please refer to OUR TUTORIAL PAGE. If your USB does not work, and you have no backup solution, your slot will be given to someone else. If you are playing at Stella’s and are unsure if your USB will work, you should sign up for the back room and use the XDJ. If you are playing at Luna Lounge, you MUST be setup for Device Library Plus.
You MUST have a Rekordbox formatted USB in order to play. Personal controllers and custom setups are not generally allowed, though exceptions may be made if it doesn’t interfere with the night, however, this is not a guarantee and you need to ask ahead of time.
NO STREAMING MUSIC! You must have all your songs offline on your USB. No internet connection will be provided, and we prefer that you do not attach your laptop.
The event runs from 8pm - 12:30am
Sets are 45 mins long. There are 6 slots available at our Luna Lounge events, and 12 at our Stella Blues events.
We do not currently offer turntables for vinyl (but we’re working on it). Please do not bring your own turntables.
Please arrive at least 15 min prior to your set. Time is limited, and if you do not show up by your assigned start time, your slot may be given to someone else.
The event occurs at Stella Blues in New Haven, CT and Luna Lounge in Norwalk.
Don’t forget your headphones!
