HOW IT WORKS

• Go to the SIGN UP page and fill out the form

• We will contact you to confirm or offer the closet available date & time slot if your preferred slot is taken (the form will be updated as slots are filled, but it may happen sometimes)

• Respond to our email to confirm your slot

• Show up on the day of the event at least 15 mins prior to your start time; however, we encourage everyone to show up at the beginning and stay to the end to support your fellow DJs

• Plug in and play!

  RESERVE LIST

  If you were hoping to play on a certain date but there are no slots available, you can still show up on the day of the event and sign up on the reserve list. If a DJ does not show up, or their USB doesn’t work, their slot will be given to the next person on the reserve list. The reserve list is on a first come, first serve basis, so get there early!

  Remember, this is also a networking event, so even if you aren’t playing, it’s a great opportunity to meet other people in the scene!

  CONSIDERATIONS

• This is a house music focused event. While we love all kinds of dance music, the goal of this event is to help grow the house scene in CT and help house DJs network and meet each other. Please make sure you are playing house music if you sign up

• The event runs from 8pm - 12:45am

• Sets are 45 mins long. There are six sets available per event

• Please arrive at least 15 min prior to your set. Time is limited, and if you do not show up by your assigned start time, your slot will be given to someone on the reserve list

• The event occurs once a month at Stella Blues in New Haven, CT (204 Crown St.)

• A Pioneer Opus Quad will be available at the event. You must bring a Rekordbox formatted USB library in order to use it. If your USB does not work, and you have no backup solution, your slot will be given to someone on the reserve list

• While we encourage new DJs to get familiar with a Pioneer setup, you are welcome to bring and use your own controller; but it must be set up and ready to go by the time your set starts. Any time spent setting up beyond that point will eat into your set time. Sets will not be extended. You can connect via XLR to the main system, or via RCA into the decks. We will provide XLR and RCA connections, if you require a different setup, make sure to bring the appropriate cables and/or adapters with you, or you will not be able to play.

• This isn’t just an open decks, but also a networking event, so even if you didn’t get a slot, we encourage you to come down and support those who did and network with the other DJs! The scene grows when we all work together!
